More baby shower gifts for this weekend: hand-dyed some ready made onesies and did some nautical-themed stenciling with washable paint.

Finished a baby rag quilt for a friend’s baby shower this weekend using this tutorial thanks to some major help from my sister.

One side is a traditional quilt, while the other has the “rag” edges.

The door has been installed, but it still needs trim and stucco work around the door. We are loving the Arts & Crafts hardware.

Windows and new sliding glass doors were installed this week as well.

The Rennovation Resumes

We are planning some exterior rennovations this summer. A new front door has been ordered and all new windows with an arts & crafts grille pattern have been ordered. Once the windows are installed in August, we will be choosing new exeterior paint colors.

There’s a tree in the bathroom

The fabulous Annie Galvin of 3 Fish Studios painted a beautiful tree in our bathroom this weekend. This officially closes out the bathroom remodel extravaganza!  We then celebrated with some Honeycuttmade croque monsieurs, bacon potato salad, sauteed asparagus & mushrooms, and cocktails, cocktails, cocktails.

Thank you Annie!!

It took 7 weeks, but our sorry state of a postage stamp bathroom has been remodeled. We tried to stay true to the time period when the house was built, 1920, using subway tile for the walls and mosaic hex tile on the floor.
